There isn’t long to go before this year’s Reading Half Marathon, which takes place on Sunday, 3rd April. We are very pleased to say that we have a lot of people running for Headway Thames Valley this year; no doubt stepping up their training efforts over the next couple of weeks.

Headway Thames Valley CEO, Stephen Welch has been training since November for what will be his first ever half marathon. Running the streets of Berkshire, Stephen was even out on Boxing Day in preparation for the half marathon.

‘After many months of training the BIG day is looming and I am looking forward to taking part in my first half marathon.’

The brilliant Boyes Turner – specialist personal injury claims lawyers, will once again be running for Headway Thames Valley.

This year there are 7 of them, including Headway Trustee, Kim Smerdon and they also have a couple of new recruits  – one of which has never run before.

‘Please help us (and dig deep) and support this wonderful charity and the excellent service they provide for people living with brain injury and their families. Every penny well and truly does count.’

And finally, Headway Thames Valley Fundraising Manager, Zoe Lane will be not only be doing the Reading Half Marathon but 2 other half marathons and a huge 100km walk throughout 2016.

‘I have taken part in half marathons before, but three in one year and the 100km walk on top of them will be a huge challenge – but it’s for a great cause.’

Good luck to all our brilliant runners!
